Town Centre Regeneration Idea: The 5p Project People – Place – Planet – Prosperity –…
We always enjoy working with the local community and love getting involved in charity fundraising events. The following examples are projects we have been involved with:
Children from Capshard Primary School shone bright by marking Earth Hour in a unique and novel way by generating their own electricity with Andrew Bowie of PeachyKeen. SHINE BRIGHT was also marked by everyone wearing bright, sparkly clothes and odd socks, to celebrate the lives of our special children. Nearly £400 was raised and children decided proceeds will go to WWF, Moebius Trust, Downs Syndrome and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The photograph shows Andrew with a group of upper school pupils using their pedal power to illuminate a light tower and view a DVD.
PeachyKeen has a wonderful relationship with the Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland (CHSS), Kirkcaldy Group who meet weekly in St Bryce next to Area 51. PeachyKeen annually supports the CHSS Awareness Week with group members, their fantastic carers and volunteers utilising our facilities – a truly inspiring and humbling experience.
