Scottish Borders Council called upon Peachy Keen to help promote its Reduced – Reuse – recycle initiative at the Border Union Agricultural Show.
The activity enables participants compete to see who can generate the most energy by pedalling one of our PeachyKeen pods to blow up a branded balloon.
As well as driving footfall to the stand, the activity gave the Council staff the time and opportunity to communicate the key information on the initiative.
The popularity of this activity could be seen by the number of people walking around the showground with an appropriately branded balloon and is a great way to monitor the success of a promoted message.

Coaltown of Balgonie Primary School has called upon PeachyKeen human energy based educational activities to help promote their journey to school plan.
Working closely with the school, we designed and developed our Helter Skelter Water Chute to help the primary school pupils to understand the effects of pumping water against gravity with an competitive element.
The activity proved to be a fantastic means of bringing together pupils, parents and the local residents, again in a relaxed fashion to promote an initiative that would benefit the whole community.

PeachyKeen has demonstrated the power of its Water Lot of Energy Challenge for the Templehall Fun Day in Kirkcaldy.
The activity encourages children and adults of all ages to generate energy on our PeachyKeen pods and go head to head to pump tanks from our storage tank to the water bottles at the top of the frame using our PeachyKeen Power Stations.
This is another one of our PeachyKeen activities which is perfect for family based event as it inspires a competitive element that provides a means by which children can compete against their parents – and have an opportunity of winning.

PeachyKeen designed and develop a new train based experience which was launched at Dundee Science Centre during their Science Week.
The activity used the PeachyKeen Pods to use human energy to power the model train set based on the immortal Flying Scotsman Steam Engine.
In the context of Science Week it proved successful in getting children and their parents to participate in a fun activity that explained the principal of energy generation.
It also inspired parents, particularly dads, to explain to their children the workings of model trains.
For many of the children that took part this was the first time they had “played” an activity that they had to power themselves – and was seen as a great success by parents who enjoyed seeing their kids not playing on their computer.

Sustrans used our Tour De PeachyKeen experience to drive footfall to its stand at the Scottish Bike Show.
The bike based activity was seen as the perfect means of enabling Sustrans to engage with members of the public – especially children.
The subsequent interaction enables the promoted information to be exchanged in a relaxed and fun manner. In this case, turning the Sustrans stand into a busy hive of activity.

PeachyKeen has enabled the Electric Car Club in partnership with Renault to promote their electric vehicles in style with our Grand Prix Challenge Experience.
The fantastic interactive event reinforced the environmentally friendly message of using electricity to power cars by enabling members of the public to create the electricity to power the small electric cars on a track!
We also ensured all the PeachyKeen Pods, cars, crash barriers et cetera were branded in the customer’s colours.
Our activity encouraged members of the public to follow their curiosity, have an opportunity of taking part in the activity and in turn recording their interest to become Electric Car Club members or allow Renault to follow up their interest in electric vehicles.

Scottish Borders Council has used the PeachyKeen Grand Prix Challenge Experience to launch their Tread Lightly initiative with a team building event for staff.
The campaign was designed to encourage their staff to be aware of the resources they use within their individual areas of responsibility in line with their environmental impact – and our experience was the perfect vehicle.
Staff members used our PeachyKeen pods to generate the power to drive their Scalectrix cars around the track.
An added benefit was the event enabled employees to interact (compete) in a very informal situation no matter what level of the organisation they represented.
Whilst it is designed to be a fun event, it can be a little competitive with a lady called Julie also from Scottish Borders Council holding the lap record with a particular track configuration 3.6 seconds to be exact.
So far, no one has come near. If you think you are up to the challenge or want to bring something unique to your next team building event, contact us now.
PeachyKeen’s has helped West Lothian Council to celebrate the opening of the new Almondvale Park in Livingston with a life-size Penguin and “green” dog festooned with LED lighting.
The opening event featured a number of stands and attractions, however we proved to be one of the most popular – but then you do not normally expect to see a Penguin in the middle of a park in Scotland.
We connected our PeachyKeen pod to the interactive Penguin and Dog and let the general public generate the power to make them light up.
The experience was designed to illustrate the amount of electricity that is being created while someone is exercising.

PeachyKeen developed a unique interactive experience to enable schools to create an educational tool to physically let children gauge how much of their energy is required to create electricity.
We connected our PeachyKeen Pods and our Handcranks to different types of lighting and light bulbs and enabled children to generate the required energy to power each unit.
This exciting experience enabled teachers to practically link their lessons with fun, interactive activities that allows for the different forms of learning styles, providing methods for children to work things out for themselves in a supervised and safe manner.
The event also emphasises just how energy efficient light bulbs have become.
Feedback from the schools showed how successful it was within the context of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics).

As a proud sponsor of the Meedies Bike Club, we were delighted to bring our unique interactive experience to their SXC Mountain Bike Event in Fife.
PeachyKeen designed a unique experience where our PeachyKeen Pods were connected to a power washer to wash mountain bikes after their event.
This has proved a brilliant addition to cycling events as one person can cycle to create the power while another washes down their bike.
However, it has been known for children to suddenly think they can soak their mum or dad who is peddling to provide the power, the former not realising that if they stop peddling the water stops skooshing!
