PeachyKeen designed and develop a new train based experience which was launched at Dundee Science Centre during their Science Week.
The activity used the PeachyKeen Pods to use human energy to power the model train set based on the immortal Flying Scotsman Steam Engine.
In the context of Science Week it proved successful in getting children and their parents to participate in a fun activity that explained the principal of energy generation.
It also inspired parents, particularly dads, to explain to their children the workings of model trains.
For many of the children that took part this was the first time they had “played” an activity that they had to power themselves – and was seen as a great success by parents who enjoyed seeing their kids not playing on their computer.
